Shipping Policy
At Scott Aspen Safety, we prioritize the secure and efficient dispatch of your safety equipment. By placing an order with us, you agree to the following shipping terms.
Shipping Terms (FOB)
All goods are supplied and quoted FOB (Free On Board) from our dispatch point.
Transfer of Risk: Responsibility for the goods, including the risk of loss or damage during transit, passes to the customer the moment the goods are loaded onto the carrier’s vehicle or collected from our premises.
Freight Charges: All shipping and freight costs are at the customer’s expense unless otherwise stated in writing. These charges will be calculated and applied on Invoice or quoted via a formal Purchase Order.
Customer Collections
Customers may elect to arrange their own transport or collect items directly from our warehouse (where available).
Liability: Any products collected by the customer or their nominated courier become the sole responsibility of the customer immediately upon handover.
Damage in Transit: Scott Aspen Safety is not liable for any damage occurring during transit for customer-arranged collections.
Delivery Estimates & Tracking
Timeframes: Dispatch and delivery times are estimates only. While we strive for prompt delivery, Scott Aspen Safety is not liable for any losses, costs, or damages resulting from delivery delays.
Verification: It is the customer's responsibility to ensure the shipping address provided is accurate. We cannot redirect orders once they have been processed.
Returns & Restocking Fees
All returns must align with our Refunds and Returns Policy.
Restocking Fee: A 15% restocking and administration fee applies to all "Change of Mind" returns or cancelled orders that have already been processed. This fee covers the cost of technical inspection, safety re-certification, and administrative processing.
Return Freight: The cost of returning goods to Scott Aspen Safety is the responsibility of the customer, except in cases of proven manufacturer fault or shipping error on our part.
Inspection Upon Receipt
Customers must inspect all goods immediately upon delivery. Any discrepancies (e.g., short supply or visible damage to packaging) must be reported to admin@scottaspensafety.com.au within 48 hours of receipt.
International Shipping & Customs
For orders shipped outside of Australia:
The customer is the "Importer of Record" and is responsible for all local customs duties, taxes, and import clearances.
If a shipment is refused due to unpaid duties and returned to us, the customer will be liable for all original freight, return freight, and a 15% restocking fee.
