Our Story

Founded in the early 1970s under Open Road industries, in a modest 2,878 sq. ft. facility, with a simple goal: to provide quality safety equipment to Australians. Over the years, our commitment to innovation and excellence caught the attention of prestigious organisations, including Police, Defence, and various government departments.

In response to these challenges, we launched Scott Aspen Safety, a subsidiary dedicated to designing and manufacturing helmets and safety equipment that meet and often exceed world-class standards. 

Recognising gaps in the market for specialised, cost-effective safety solutions, we expanded our offerings with multiple brands:

TAG (Totally Awesome Gear) – Premium gloves and accessories for law enforcement, firefighting, rescue, and tactical operations.

Pro-Lite – Professional grade flashlights and illumination tools designed for demanding environments.

TOAD - Quality Bags & Accessories to further support our broader brands and product suite.

Rescue 8 - Provides specialised rescue tools designed for road rescue, emergency services, and law enforcement, engineered for strength, reliability, and performance when every second counts.
